Donor Questions

What percentage of donations go directly to programs? +
100% of every donation funds programs, scholarships, and direct student support. Administrative overhead is covered separately through a small number of dedicated operating grants. You'll see an exact breakdown in our annual impact report, which every donor receives.
Is my donation tax-deductible? +
Yes. Gateway Youth Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You'll receive a donation receipt via email immediately after your gift, suitable for tax filing.
How can my business get involved? +
We welcome corporate partners in several ways: mentors from your team, event sponsorships, in-kind donations, internship opportunities for program graduates, or direct grants. Email partners@gatewayyouth-demo.org to start a conversation. We'll match your involvement to where you'll have the most impact.
Can I designate my gift to a specific program? +
Yes. When donating, you can designate your gift to After-School Academy, College Prep, STEM Camp, Mentorship Network, Arts & Expression, or Job Readiness. Restricted gifts are fully honored. If you'd like your donation to go where the need is greatest, choose "Greatest Need" and we'll direct it accordingly.
How do I enroll my child in after-school programs? +
Our programs are open to St. Louis youth ages 8–18. Enrollment opens each August for the school year and May for summer programs. Attend one of our Open Houses (see the Events section) or call our enrollment team at (314) 555-0155. All programs are provided free of charge to enrolled students.
