What's the difference between a cleaning and a deep cleaning? +
A standard cleaning (prophylaxis) removes plaque and tartar above and slightly below the gumline — it's preventive care. A deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) treats active gum disease by cleaning below the gumline and smoothing root surfaces. We'll determine which you need during your exam.
How long does professional teeth whitening last? +
In-office whitening results typically last 1–3 years with proper care. Take-home trays can provide touch-ups to extend results. Avoiding coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco significantly extends the longevity of your whitening.
Are clear aligners as effective as traditional braces? +
For most cases — yes. Clear aligners are highly effective for crowding, spacing, and bite issues. Traditional braces may be recommended for more complex bite corrections. Dr. Webb will evaluate your specific case and recommend the best approach during a free orthodontic consultation.
What should I do in a dental emergency? +
